The Series DA Dodge was manufactured by Dodge Brothers of the USA (now under ownership of Chrysler) between 1929 until March 1930. The DA was an offshoot of the 1927 Victory Six Dodge vehcile. It's new styling characteristic reflected the Chrysler influence was having on Dodge Brothers with distinct features including the bowel shaped headlights mounted on a bowed tie bar, and a narrow bright metal molding attached to the end of the hood. Other standard features of the DA Dodge included an inline L-head six cylinder cast iron engine block, Northeastern ignition, a gasoline filter, lovejoy shock absorbers, selective sliding gear transmission, 3 speed gearbox, semi floating rear axle, hydraulic brakes and a new exhaust manifold that ran from the front of the engine rather than the back as in previous models. |
