The Colac Ambulance Station currently employs 5 full time Officers and 1 Casual Officer, operating 3 vehicles (2 Mercedes 316 Sprinter and a Sedan), with one vehicle being manned 24 hours per day with a crew of two full time staff (usually one MICA Paramedic and one ALS  Paramedic). 

 

 
 
 
Rural Ambulance Victoria (RAV) currently has 7 levels of Ambulance qualification with 3 levels currently employed at Colac:
 
 

Duncan is the Officer in charge of the the Colac Station.  Prior to his Ambulance career, Duncan was a Critical Care Nurse in Melbourne.  Joining the Ambulance Service in Melbourne 1996, Duncan spent the initial 7 years working in the inner city areas of Melbourne.  In 2000, Duncan undertook his MICA training and 2 years later, was appointed in his current position in Colac. Duncan is  involved in the training of ACOs and CERT Officers in the surrounding areas.

   
 
 

Anthony joined the Ambulance Service in 1986 in Melbourne and undertook his MICA training in 1993.  In 1998, Anthony was appointed to the Colac Station.  Currently Anthony teaches prehospital spinal management & vehicle extrication to new Student Ambulance Paramedics coming into the Victorian Ambulance Service.

   
 
 

 

Craig is currently Colac's longest serving member, beginning his career as a ACO in 1995.   In 2000, Craig undertook full time employment in RAV and qualified as an ALS Paramedic in 2003.  Craig is currently the Captain of Colac's Volunteer Fire Brigade and co-ordinates the co-training between Ambulance and CFA.

 

 
 

 

Alan transferred from the Queensland Ambulance Service in 2004 after 17 years of service.  Allan received his ALS qualificiation in 2005.

 

         
 
 

 

Brian is Colac's Ambulance Community Officer being with the Ambulance Service since 1995.  He currently works full time for the CFA.
